The 317 Board: Athens-Hocking-Vinton Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Athens, Ohio is an organization that provides care for people in need of mental health or drug/alcohol addiction services. The board is very strategic with their budget, as money is focused on the patients and their benefit. Thus, their office building has been neglected over the years in lieu of providing care to those in need.
Prior to the renovations, the building was adorned with turquoise and pink walls, as well as turquoise carpet and a large desk that separated most of the lobby space into a tiny hallway. BDT performed architectural services for the board to renovate their office building into a modern space that is inviting and tranquil. Along with the much-needed interior renovations, the building received a complete re-roofing in addition to repaired water damage.
