Wellston Medical Office Building Renovation

After serving the Wellston community as a Kroger grocery store for more than 50 years, this building is undergoing a significant transformation to support a new community need. The Jackson County Economic Development Partnership engaged BDT Architects & Designers to reimagine the former retail space as a medical office building capable of supporting modern healthcare services.

The proposed design accommodates a regional healthcare provider offering ambulatory care, converting the space into a functional clinical environment. The new layout includes reception and waiting areas, a laboratory, ten exam rooms, a central nurse station, clinical support spaces, and a full-service pharmacy, creating a new and accessible healthcare destination for the Wellston community.
